Water related energy consumption can amount up to as high as
approximately 60% of total energy consumption in a city.
Waste water treatment is one of the most important parts of
water recycling life cycle. Aeration capital expenditure in waste
water treatment is very small but the energy consumption is
significant, standing at approximately 54%. Blowers are one of
the major equipments used in aeration.

Oxygen demand in a waste water treatment plant is always changing. The change may be due to seasonal or weather changes, or
may even due to different time periods in the day.
